I rarely wear cologne myself ... I have a fairly acute sense of smell/taste, and even tiny amounts of scented product (cologne, scented soap, potpourrie, smoke, air fresheners, whatever) assault my schnoz with a vengeance. My ex dragged me into a new age candle shop once, and I felt like a vampire surrounded by garlic ... I was literally whimpering to get out of there, and I was unable to smell anything but cinnamon, vanilla, sandalwood, and faux lavender for the better part of a day. I still kid her about it, all these years later.
In any case, the 'axe' reference was poking fun at the recent flurry of TV ads in which a young geeky teenage guy sprays the stuff on, and instantly turns into a super babe magnet.
I have no idea what the stuff smells like, and I have little doubt I'd probably hate the stuff since I dislike strong artificial smells in general.

mmmm axe is sexy. The guy I'm dating and a very close friend both use it, and they smell SOOOOOOOO good. Not cologne-y, perfume-y strong (cause I'm really allergic to most scents) but sexy "I wanna cuddle you until I stop breathing" type of good.
I've often been tempted to buy a can just to spray on a teddy bear LOL

Ok, Ladies ... guess who I just discovered as a lone Star Trek novel hiding in her otherwise sensually oriented literary past ? {grin}
p.s. While I was in there, I corrected several incorrect 1st pub dates.

Brad, somehow your last post made me think of a video clip called How Men Screw Up Romance. How appropriate for this thread! I found a copy online:
