1. Troy – Lord of the Silver Bow by David Gemmell (excellent – need to get book two)

2. Natural Ordermage by L. E. Modesitt (very good – have to wait until July for next book)

3. Red Profit by O. S. Card (fair – don’t know if I’ll get book 3 of 7)

Geez, only one of the five books I've read so far this year is in the database. I feel so absent not reviewing them (and I don't like reviewing them too far after I read them, so when/if they get added, I usually just rate them and leave it at that).

I just started Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy to see what all the fuss is about - wanted to read the books before watching the film.

SECOND QUARTER

If the title is in italic I have read the book before. If the entry is followed by L, I have borrowed the book; otherwise we own it.

Hi there, I'm new here.
OK, a question- did you actually read all 70-some of those books in January, or are they from last year, or did you go back and add them as you read them? Or are they books you *plan* to read in 2008?
I read about 45-50 books a year, a mix of fiction and non- and that feels like a lot but gosh some of you guys put me to shame!

Extras by Scott Westerfeld
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
