NOS4A2
Wow, what a great book! I've liked everything that Joe Hill has written so far but I found this one to be the best since Heart-Shaped Box which is still my favorite (and I include 20th Century Ghosts even though it was published prior to HSB because I read it after I read HSB!)
NOS4A2 takes a bit to really get rolling, but that doesn't mean that it's boring at any point. Hill does a really good job of fleshing out his characters and letting you spend time with them so that you become invested in their lives. Once the real action starts though, he doesn't let you go until it's all over.
I'm not going into too much detail here because this is such a rich book that I don't want to take anything away for potential readers who read this review. Suffice it to say that if you're a fan of a good fast-paced psychological horror, read this. Read it now.
(Also, as with other offerings from Joe Hill, be sure to read any introductions, forwards, dedications, afterwards, thank yous, notes on the typeset, etc. He'll usually leave a tidbit for those who read these types of things somewhere.)

Re: Joe Hill - NOS4A2 - 9
I found this book started interesting but the author failed to deliver on what he set up.
I really wanted to like this book more.

In the 60’s, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

I am glad you liked this book, Stefan.
Like MK, I thought it had a promising premise but didn't particularly deliver.
