Area 7 /Lt. Shane "Scarecrow" Schofield" /2
This book is action-packed! More action than Women's Roller Derby games! If you don't mind suspending belief for a while, then this book is ready for you to read. If you like your action mostly plausible, I'd probably skip this book.
Matthew Reilly is known for action, and this book does have plenty of it. The President has visited Area 7 today for a tour, but the bad guys have big plans. Of course, "Scarecrow" is along, and will not let those plans go off as planned. Plenty of shooting, explosions, and narrow escapes throughout this book.
I found the plotting (and reading), to be more laborious than "Ice Station", and the escapes just a bit more far-fetched. The book was still an enjoyable read, and I will be reading the third book in the series before too long!
