I chose my username as this because I'm soooo obessed with the death of rats in the discworld series. I think I have a problem.

Erin is the name of a character from a book I read when I was 13, I think. I added blue because that color calms me. This is the same username I use in other message boards.

In 1964, when I was a student, I used to commute by train on a weekly basis. Belgian railways used Italian-made passenger cars for their international trains, which were also accessible to local commuters (Antwerpen - Gent in my case). All the Italian-made cars had downward-sliding windows with a little plaque on the window sills stating "E PERICOLOSO SPORGERSI". Though I know only very little Italian, I didn't confuse it with an advertisement for some very spicy pasta dish. The meaning was obvious (see my signature).

Years later (1996) I wanted to dip a toe in the waters of the internet and I joined up with an ISP. Somewhere I read that the internet was a dangerous place, especially if you used a Windows computer. The little gnome in my stomach (my paranoid subconscious), who understands Italian flawlessly, immediately made the connection and drew my attention to it by jumping up and down, frantically waving his arms and yelling at the top of his voice.

Ever since then I've used this nickname all over the place. If you encounter it, or a variation like E.P.Sporgersi or E_Pericoloso_Sporgersi, in some other forum, chances are it is yours truly.

The guitar player of my favorite band (at the time) was killed by a drunk driver in Florida (7th offense for this dude).

They have a song titled "Midas Knight" so I took it as my online nick back in the mid 90's as a tribute to him.

My username came from around the time when I was really into reading and writing poetry four or five years ago. The moon and the wolf were symbols that I was most intrigued by, especially as they went together. The 021, part of the name comes from when I used Yahoo for email (*shudders*) and the name 'Moonwolf' had already been taken, it generated the number for me. So nothing exciting about the number.
