Fortunately, it seems I'm almost immune to it, it comes on in the form of a cold, and my body expels it within a few days.

Unfortuantely, you are failing to realize that the cold is just the surface "soft ware" infection. My virus goes deep into the subconscious "hard ware" portion of the brain, interacts with your DNA, and changes you irreversibly. (But for the better. It's all improvement.)
