Ok, hopefully by the end of today, I'll put up a post describing the pickeloid homeworld.
Some amusing ideas occured to me while driving to work this morning, and I was reminded (in my usual way-out-in-left-field sorta way) of Stevie Ray Vaughn's classic bluesy-rock interpretation of "Mary Had A Little Lamb", in which he proved that you can twist almost any base material into something new & original ... it just takes a little creativity and a sense of fun.
I did my best to one-up ya. I even put in some quasi-real pseudo science ... a necessary prerequisite for any decent sci-fi yarn.
Let's see if we can wrap up this episode, so that others can play. We can always bring it back later, if boredom or creative urges compell us to.
p.s. Ya know, there's an odd sense of irony about opening a post that promptly dives down the toilet with the line "I don't know how long I can hold it !"

(Aunflin shudders with remembered fear and embarrassment, rubbing at his now tender nose. "Now, that was a fright." He will never forget Death's icy stare, or the liquid warmth it induced in his pants. He flushes red as the stench of urine fills his nostrils... )
Very good, Brad. You the man!

Sorry aboutthat folks. I had something on my screen about WOnder Woman, Sylvester the Cat and Speedy Gonzales. Next thing I know I'm posting to Thanatos and his Ray of Death.
Oh, good...some new participants! Good to read you here!
*Aunflin stares blankly at his computer terminal, idly wondering what he should post next...*
And as I think about it...anyone please feel free to post. (This is one of the funnest things I've done in a loooonnngg time. )

Don't worry about it. Just ramble off whatever storyline you like, an extemporaneous blabber, as I like to call it.
*Britz' post has made Aunflin wonder where his copy of the Iliad is. Hmmm...where'd I put it?...And suddenly, inspiration strikes...*

I'm sure I will. I'm a cook and the food always tastes better when someone else cooks it--I feel the same about writing: it always reads better when someone else writes it. I'm a bit overly self-critical, though...
And thanks for the compliment...gives me hope for the future...though I don't know 'bout the "near-perfection" statement...
"Practice makes better--perfection is unattainable." That's my philosophy.

LOL--loved it. Very good, Britz and Hippie...very interesting.
