Unfortunately, Kvetch is so exhauseted from evading his homocidal niece and trying to keep the biscuit crumbs cleaned up that he will probably be too knackered to play with his new computer.

fortunately, they have gone home, and i can use my computer, although the only reason i can still stand is down to coffee

Fortunately, I believe I understand that the reason Kvetch was still able to function was that he was fueling himself with coffee--and the caffeine was giving him t he stamina to keep on keepin' on.

The British idiom is just a little different. I find it rather refreshing.

Or at least different.

It probably won't happen today--as that scene is quite a bit in the future. But there should be some good action later today when the kids are gone and I have no interruptions.

(Think about 4:30 my time; so squeak in a nap if you can. Heh heh)
