I'll be having pork loin stuffed with apples...cinnamon, ginger...with an apple/pineaple sauce with cinnamon, ginger, and suger...served with white rice with raisins, cinnamon, and sugar...and green beans... Fried apples would go good too, unfortunately I don't have enough apples

I haven't had Chinese take out for a long time, so I'm picking some up on my way home. After spending the day sitting on the floor of my mom's hospital room (because there was only one chair and my sister-in-law was in it, holding the new niece) and having only a MOUNDS bar (Yup. I broke my vow and ate real sugar. My doctor will be pissed.), I need some real food.
I popped in at work so I could see what devastation awaited me, and it's amazingly not so bad.
Whew.
I wish I was having something with apples and cinnamon and cloves for dessert. Yum.

I just made some noodles, sort of. We had some pasta left over in the fridge, and no one was going to eat it (no sauce), so I sliced up a few tomatos and minced some garlic, tossed some olive oil in a frying pan, tossed in the pasta, let it heat up, tossed in the tomatoes, then added the garlic, cooked it over high heat for about another minute, then plated it. Pretty good stuff.
Cho Chiyo: you'd be surprised what you can make from the simplest ingredients... If you can cook...there should be no reason to go hungry or have poor quality food.

Yes, I know. And I can cook, and even do, sometimes.
When I came home from the hospital at 8:30, I just wanted to eat so my blood sugar would not plummet and make me ill. And I didn't want to do anything else except put on my pj's and check in here and go to bed.
Thus. Toaster Waffles saved the day.

Understand that...I always have an emergency reserve of frozen pizzas and Raman noodles in the event of "I don't feel like cooking."

Sounds good. I'm thinking about taking myself out to Perkins for breakfast. Just because I can. (And I would have eggs sunny side up with link sausages, really crispy hashbrowns, whole wheat toast, and a large glass of OJ.)

Okay. I didn't do the breakfast, I got caught for time. And, I actually had a real meal for supper for the first time in weeks, and guess what? I think I may have food poisoning. I feel terrible.

More than likely, you just ate too much. When you're used to eating small or light meals, a full meal can overwhelm the system, and doesn't get digested properly, leading to...AAARGH !
True food poisoning, caused by (usually) bacteria, normally takes 12 - 36 hours to set in. The bacteria need time to multiply before they start wreaking havoc. And it takes days, not hours, before you feel even a little better.

I think it was the grease. I had batter fried cod, which I usually get broiled, but I was feeling self-destructive, so I went for the heart attack version.
Boy do I regret it as I am still "indisposed" today.
I've been very friendly with the porcelain goddess, if you know what I mean.
ARG.
I think you're right about the amount part too, though I only ate half the baked potato and not even half the salad.
I'm not used to eating so much at a sitting.
Stay away from the bacteria Laurie! They must love you! EW. Food poisoning is BAAAAAAAD.
