I wonder if J Lo's booty call to MK was an offer for a session of legerdemain?

One of Sherlock Holmes lesser known adventures:

A man had managed to steal the Green Carbuncle. Unbeknownst to everyone, he had an ocular prosthesis so perfect that even the great detective did nor realize it. Of course that is where he hid the carbuncle, so all the searches for it were futile. But the man was also an amateur entomologist, and that was caused his ruin. One day Holmes saw him catch a rare bee and hold it between two fingers..
And it dawned to him that
Spoiler: show
the booty was in the eye of the bee holder

J Lo = Jennifer Lopez ... and it is widely believed that she has a very large ass

You mean it has not appeared onscreen even once for people to judge for themselves?

The definition of a 'big ass' is open to interpretation

If I'm not mistaken Laurie was actually inquiring if MK received the message that J Lo had phoned him for a booty call.

As for Jennifer's bottom, watch her dance the tango in the movie "Shall We Dance".

Does voralfred have bionic eyes himself, or have my eyes finally acknowledged my age? Maybe it was just an example of "legerdesyeux" [light of eyes - Fake French] instead of legerdemain.

Fortunately copy and paste into a normal font showed: "since Darb/Brad has deserted us, I felt it was my resoonsibility to resurrect the Roving Punster"

Don't worry. By tomorrow it will weigh little: Ce sera léger demain.

P.S.
In "légerdemain" it's a single hand.
Therefore it should be "légerd'oeil" for the eye. Aye?

E.P.S. What, are you wearing an eye patch these days? I may squint, but don't yet close one eye to look at tiny print.
(Whoops! Apple Corp. probably owns iPatch as a trademark. Must be careful treading these waters.)

You are, of course, and, as usual, correct about legerd'oeil being comparable to the handy magician's act. Though, my sense of the word is that one hand attracts the attention away from what the other hand is doing, causing the audience to miss the switch. Both hands are in action, but we're not intended to see the "hidden" one. Has anyone seen a successful one-handed magician?

It is great to be corrected in any language. Thanks.

Watson! Where's my blasted lens? No, not that fool small one. I need the big one.
Moriarty is at it again. He's enlisted help from these WotD characters to write ever smaller notes in ever lighter text colors!
Soon, they'll be resorting to disappearing ink!

Blast. Light footed winks and glances, indeed.

I'll retaliate, foil his evil plan...But, how? Hmm. Let me ponder on it, Watson.
No, I don't want to hurt the innocent dupes. Moriarty is fiendishly clever, probably led the altogether pleasant participants of WotD to think I'm incapable of humor. We'll I'll have the last laugh. Just you wait.
Yes, of course, you may recommend a course of action. I'm always glad of your input.

ersatz

Marco worked his entire life to perfect an android. In the end, it didn't matter. His high quality products couldn't overcome the company name his father had chosen: Ersatz Industries. In spite of their sleazy inferiority, the products of "Gynoid Androids" sold very well. They were singularly regarded by the UN as the main reason that the population of real humans had never exceeded 7 billion.

Don't get your dander up, my dear old friend. I shall gladly come to your support, but please have a little patience. Most of my time right now is taken up with sabotaging the Belgian cabinet formation.

But as you so fittingly proclaim, 'Just you wait, Henry Higgins, just you wait ...', your opponents don't yet realise a Sword of Damocles is waiting to skewer them from top to bottom.

Rest assured that my wrath will soon put ersatz bamboo spills and splinters in their WotD stew.

Diabolically yours,

Joe complemented his neighbor, Ted, for the excellent stuff available at the yard sale (aka rummage sale, garage sale, tag sale).
Ted failed to comprehend the flummery because he really thought the paint would sell.

Ted did go home and he had some excellent custard dessert in a bowl his wife bought at the sale.
