So I'm not really new. I moved about a year and a half ago and replaced the computer and lost all my bookmarks.
I could have asked Sue's daughter for her email and gotten the site from her again. But I always thought of it at odd times and could never remember when I saw her.
But I've found it again and am back.

3. Favorite Author that's not in Favorite Genre - hmmm, tough to say but I would go with Charles Dicken
4. How/Why you picked your Member-Name - Once I get started on a book or series I like I can't stop, and I decided early on I would use a modified version of bookworm to create my user name.
5. How you found IBDoF - L.E. Modesitt's website
6. Name one book you would never recommend to a friend - The Children's Hour.
7. Top 5 books/series-
Robin Hobb's farseer, live-ship trader, and tawny man trilogies (I would count these as one long series)
Raymond E Feist's series' on the universe of midkemia
Steven Erikson's Malazan Book of the Fallen series
Patricia McKillip's Riddlemaster trilogy
and Ursula LeGuin's earth-sea series.
there are many more series I have greatly enjoyed but I would set these at the top of my list.

I'm a former English and Art History professor turned novelist/editor/jewelry designer. I grew up in a house where we watched Masterpiece Theatre together. Those superb productions fed my literary hunger. No matter how I struggle financially, I always find money for books and music. Maybe if we started showing those series again, students would start reading again.

It's not too personal, at all, rip8fan1. Thanks for your interest.
I'm working on a series of books following an aristocratic family, their friends, servants, etc. from 1816 to the present day.
The first, Shadow In the Sun, pts. 1 & 2 (Xlibris) by Alex Hughes-Walton, came out in 2002, while the second, The Ennobling Interchange, is in the final editing stage. I'm also working on volumes three through ten at the moment.

Re: WELCOME - NEW MEMBERS INTRODUCE YOURSELF HERE
Hello, I'm Justin. Originally from Vancouver Island, living now in Calgary. 31, never a big reader, up until about 3 years I hadn't read for pleasure since first year university. I was the target of a terrible plot by my couch and tv to destroy my interest in reading. A plot I have since foiled. I have not purchased a book in almost 10 years, I love libraries. I am a photographer, web designer, soon to be new resident of the most beautiful city in the world(imo), Vancouver, BC.
