fixed. You know, it would be helpful if you noted WHAT the typo was in future...

Well apparently there were two. What did you correct?
I saw "Captian Picard"

see, that's why it's more useful for you to tell us WHAT the error is instead of just pointing out that there is one. I corrected a "ot" that should have been a "to". I'll go fix the other.

edit - second typo is fixed as well.

If I had told you beforehand, you would have missed the other one, the one I had missed (ot -> to ) :wink:

So now both have been corrected (unless there are more :lol: )

sorry for being so short... I was a bit crabby yesterday (well, more so than usual). :) I was just getting frustrated because I was having login issues on the IBDoF side (where I do very little data entry or editing).

Are you eventually going to rate and/or review some books ?

That is our primary purpose, after all. ;)

Seriously, that is not so easy when english is not your first language.
Joking around is one thing, writing a serious review on a book... that's much harder.
I'll try and give it a thought, thoough.
Maybe first, rate aome books that already have been reviewed....

Can you see the actual numbers? They don't show up anymore when I click on "List Genre".

I've got it at 6,874 Romance vs. 6,117 Sci-Fi.

Had to do it the hard way by clicking on the genre, then going to page 2, then changing the number in the address bar.

{Brad stumps off, muttering vague threats to himself about using the series power editing tool to instantly add the science fiction code to all the 40 gazillion nancy drew and harby boys mysteries ...}

;)

BTW, the book counts in the genre list view appear to have been re-enabled. Looking at the numbers, it's vaguely amusing to see how unbalanced our previous SciFi vs Romance battles have left our book mix.

Perhaps we should consider expanding or switching the conflict to other genres ?

Some amusing themes come to mind ... "The Butlerian Jihad" (picture animals, arthurian legends, religion & post apocalypse battling the AI, computers and science genres)

While Laurie toddles off to add "Romance" to the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books.

After all, they ARE hormonally-supercharged teenagers... :wink:

And for good measure, I hereby announce that Miss Marple and M. Hercule Poirot are officially getting it on. :lol:

I did some overdue genre code cleanup and corrections in the manga genre (and several others). Both Scifi, Romance, and several other genres, as applicable, benefitted.

Romance: 6902 (+28}
SciFi: 6228 (+111)

Since the magic number has been reached, I motion that no more romance books may be entered into the system.

You should be thankful that's all you got at the hands of the Romancians. :lol:
