I learned that a 'Rubix Cube' themed party is sooooooooooo sooo much cooler than the name initially suggests. Basically, the point is to go dressed in lots of different colours and then finish the evening dressed in one colour. I ended up dressed in all white wearing some American chick's tank-top.

But nah, it was pretty good. There were so many foreign students there from just about everywhere it was so very cool. Hah, there was this one American dude and I swear he is Ashton Kutcher's body double. He looked exactly like him!!

Today I learned that the French politician (several times minister) and political thinker Alain Peyrefitte, author in particular of "Quand la Chine s'éveillera... le monde tremblera." (When China will awake, the world will tremble) was really named Roger! However, because a different Roger Peyrefitte had a rather sulfurous reputation at that time, he changed his first name to avoid confusion....

That would make an interesting picture.

Today I learned that my teacher really REALLY hates me.

Today I learned how to till. It basically means steering the dragonboat. It was so scary. I'm deathly scared of water, I don't know how to swim, and tillers fall into the water easy. (And the Willamette river is pretty gross) My coach said that he's never seen anyone so terrified to learn how to till. But in the end it was amazing, except for the part that I almost fell off into the water.

I also learned that I'll be racing in both Rainier Cup in Tacoma, and the Portland Rose Festival Dragon Boat Races. I'm excited.

Today I learned how procrastinating is not a good idea. I worked on my gigantic history project from 4pm to 12am, and from 6am to 8am. I then learned operating on six hours of sleep stinks, especially when there are two tests the following day, plus the mile!

I learned that I should really stay away from drugs. I had an operation a couple of days ago to re-attach the top joint of my finger to the rest of the finger as it had completely severed. I was half-conscious on local anaesthetic when I heard a doctor mumble something about “…his thumb…â€

omg dude, what do you DO to yourself??? I'm not sure I want to know how you severed your finger, but pain-free wishes for a speedy recovery coming your way. *shudder* I can't stop looking at my fingers now.

Today I learned that I shouldn't bring science mags to work with me (someone gave me about 10 years worth of Discovery and Scientific American magazines), cause I'd rather read the magazine than work LOL

Today I learned that when I get elbowed in the ear playing soccer, it turns bright red and gets REALLY warm. Who knew?

Thanks for the well-wishes. The bone was severed but the finger remained in one piece. Now I have a wire inserted & a cast. Sure it hurt but nothing's more painfully frustrating than left-handed typing. I'm sure you can read about it in one of your magazines. Besides, who can work when there's so much reading to be done?

Today I learned that in addition to abstaining from procrastination I shouldn't stay up past my bedtime. So, Goodnight.

Yesterday I learned that finishing off a bottle of Tequila by 9am before Kegs in the Park had even begun was the worst/best idea of my life. Wow. Things were pretty carnal by lunchtime!

I will find some photos when my mates upload them...

Today I learned that drinking a large thick-shake while feeling ill on a long bus journey is never a good idea.

Incidently, it was the thickest thick-shake I have ever had in my life. I couldn't actually suck it through the straw! It was mean.

Today I learned that this very VERY intense documentary called GRADUATION DAY about four teens that died in a drunk driving accident that made everyone emotional and really made me feel affected... is fake. its a stupid mockumentary. like the people you watch die didn't really die
