It is boring....*sigh* Sometimes my dad acts like a younger brother to me, so it can get kinda crazy especially for my mom, but when it's just me and her because my dad has to work, it's SOOOO boring. lol

Both my parents act like kids. I suppose now I'm almost an only child, well sort of. I'm the only one still living at home.

I fear that if I were a single child I probably wouldve ended up like my wild rebel sister. I'm glad I had her there to learn from her mistakes.
Even if she made my younger life with her dredful...therefore making me lock myself up in my room most of the day.....maybe THATS why I'm antisocial o_o...

I was looking through the bookshelves at Borders, just trying to find something interesting while my friend was looking somewhere else. Saw the word 'wolf' on a few of the covers at a distance, which caught my eye, since I'm crazy about wolves. I was instantly drawn to them like metal to a magnet. Grabbed the first book, took a seat nearby, and started reading. And I haven't looked back since. :D

Hee! Me too! I came across these books about five or six years ago - when I was still in high school. I was at that phase in my life where reading was the lamest possible thing you could do. I had to do a (lame) book report, so I went to the local bookshop and started browsing for something to do it on. At that time I was really into wolves (I still am, in a sense) and I saw 'Through Wolf's Eyes'. I was intrigued. I bought it (along with another that I did my report on) and I absolutely fell in love with it. Not only that, I fell in love with reading again! So much so that I now work in the same bookshop that I bought Through Wolf's Eyes in!

Just as a little aside, I've had Wolf's Blood on my shelf since March 20th of last year (the day it came out), but I only finished reading it yesterday. It wasn't because I didn't like the series. On the contrary, I loved the series (and the characters!) so much that I didn't want it to end. I was terrified that she would kill of my favourite characters. I was devastated at the thought that after this, there was no more. So on my shelf it sat for nearly an entire year before I built up the courage to read it. I read it, I finished it, and I felt like weeping because it was over. But now I realize that it isn't! It isn't over, because this forum exists! It isn't over because (**POSSIBLE SPOILER**)
Spoiler: show
she left the ending "unfinished". She didn't wrap things up neatly. There was no epilogue to tell us how things turned out. We don't know the futures of the characters, so, in a sense, these books will never end!
Oops, it looks as if my brain fell from my head and onto the keyboard again. That happens sometimes.

I found Through Wolf's eyes one summer while vistiting my dad, he knew I liked to read and wanted to get me a few books for the summer on days he had to work. I saw the wolf and it was a cheap book, so I bought it. I remember Wolf's Head, Wolf's heart wasn't even out yet. it was forthcoming it took me awhile to get into it, but once I did I read the series religiously.

Welcome welcome BigBeans and Lupanari!

Always nice to meet someone who has read Wolf's Blood already,BigBeans. We tend to accidently spoil some stuff when talking about the books >_>...

Lupanari and Echoechoecho> Where are you in the series? Or have you finished it already?

Its NICE to see new faces.

Lupanari and BigBeans -> I have the same thing. I swear I can walk into a Barnes and Noble and see a tiny little wolf book jammed into the wrong section from the other side of the store. I've done it, it made me proud. lol.

Big Beans-> I didn't want to end it either. So I tried spacing it out.. but that turned into 3 days to read instead of 1. And yes, we keep it alive!

I am have read through Dragon of Despair, because I lost interest in the series for awhile....required college reading tends to pull you away from past time reading *sigh*.... but I bought all the books. So I decided to re-read them to refresh the story line. It is hard to not read any spoilers but I am remaining strong.

It's good to know. That way we wont continue to accidently let spoilers slip. Sorry if we already have ruined anything. The group of us got pretty lazy for a while on spoilers.

The way I see it since I have only read through DoD, somethings dont' make any sense to me, so no harm done. But I am almost done with DoD with my re-read so I'll be starting WC by Wednesday

The reason why Wolf Capture wasn't one of my favourites was because
Spoiler: show
Elise, Doc and Wendee Jay weren't involved.
However, after reading it again (and again(and, yes, again)) I have come to fully appreciate her decision to do that. The writing is great as always, she is just telling their stories a little differently.

I really enjoyed it because it broadened the story so much more. And it shows just how great of a writer Jane Lindskold is, of how she can continue all of these story lines, and cultures, and etc, weaving them together but only showing us a bit of her world at a time.

Plus I just really love the culture of the Liglim. Like I've said, I see myself in that culture. It also makes Lindskold's story different fantasies, as the main setting of the first three FS was medieval, but this puts it beyond that fantasy stereotype.
