Right as usual.
One sherlock and the next question. What about the bonus, the true one, in dark red?

Where are all the other players, Blackwing, risi, clong.... ?
It has been just you and me for 4 consecutive 5 (or more) days turns.

Bonus I'll leave for somebody else :-).
I don't know, should we wait a little bit more?

Well, even if you know the answer of the bonus, you can wait a bit for others if you want. But there is no point waiting before asking the next question. What I'll do, even if I know the answer, is to wait a bit more than 5 days to allow more time for others.

I forget to post quote .
Xxx felt he had never seen skin before, just blotched bags people wore around themselves to keep from leaking.
Book?
Who is Xxx (or he)?
Whose skin he saw?

I'm here and I'll check the question every time. I even knew that one of the earlier quotes was from DaVinci but I had no idea which Bujold book it was in. I don't have any of the books as e-books and there are lots of books to go through when you have no idea which book to even start with.

Well, maybe RK and I are asking too tough questions. I really thought the one with Elli "Good guys vs bad guys" was an easy one, at the very very end of "Brothers in Arms".

The incredible haut Rian Degtiar, Handmaiden of the Star Crèche.

Voralfred, well, I don't know. It also depends on what books are more familiar to others and you can't, of course, know that.

"X," Y said after a long, thoughtful pause, "are trying to one-up my dead?"
Book?
Who's X?
Who's Y?
Where are they talking?

Civil Campaign.
They are in the attics of Vorkosigan House.
X is Miles, and Y is Ekaterin.

I remembered the incident and was about to answer by memory, but I checked, fortunately: I would have interchanged them.

"I've got a joke for you. What's white, taken from the back of a sheep, tied up with black bows, shipped thousands of light years, and lost?"
"If that's your idea of a joke, you're weirder than--"
"Death."
Book?
Who is the first and last speaker?
Who is the second one?
What is the object that was lost.

Bonus: the first speaker never saw the lost object. How does he/she/it knows the bows were black?

Oh? Come on! It is not that hard!

OK, I'll give a longer quote
"Black," X cut across him. "Black, you idiot! And you never thought to mention it!"
"Look, I have to take that stuff from my mother and your father, I don't have to take it from you, too" Y paused. "How did you know?"
"I know the color because I know the contents." X rose to pace uncontrollably back and forth. "You know them too, or you would if you ever stopped to think. I've got a joke for you. What's white, taken from the back of a sheep, tied up with black bows, shipped thousands of light years, and lost?"
"If that's your idea of a joke, you're weirder than--"
"Death."
Now X speaks first, third and last, Y second and fourth. Finding X and Y should be very easy now, and the book, well... not that hard!

The bonus still stands.

I remind yo uthere is one unclaimed bonus, that came with a question answered a few turns before.

I was waiting for somebody else :-).

Warrior's Apprentice, Miles, Ivan, parchment

Bonus: Because only the capital charge comes with black ribbon :?.
I'm not sure that's the answer you're looking for .

That was exactly what I was waiting for: Miles deduced the parchment could only mean capital charge, thus black ribbon.

But there is still the old bonus....

"Body language. Just so." Xxx stepped to Yyy, reached up, and turned the Yyy1's face to the light. Yyy did not flinch at his nearness, but merely smiled. Fine hairs gleamed on cheek and chin. Xxx's eyes narrowed as he carefully revisualized the cut on Zzz's cheek.
"You have facial down, like women. All herms do, right?"
"Sure. Unless they're using a really thorough depilatory, I suppose. Some even cultivate beards."
"Zzz doesn't."
Book?
Who are Xxx, Yyy (Yyy and Yyy1 are same person) and Zzz?

Bonus: Why Zzz doesn't have facial hair?

Ok this is short and sweet:
"Two hours," muttered X. "We've only been in this bloody place two bloody hours. . . ."
Book and speaker.

X grimaced uneasily back. "It appears I underestimated you," X murmured.

"Don't you ever... cross me again. And stay away from Y"
Book?
In the quote, both "X"s are just he/she/it; but what character is X?
What character is the second speaker ("you" as said by X)?
What character is Y?

Saying exactly how "Y" appears in the quote does not deserve a half-point bonus. But I promise a small plus if you do it.

I suppose the other X you consider a possible is the one who so severely underestimated Y that ....

his head had been "severed" by the time of the quote.

Yes, that was possible X :-).
Tasteless, he tried to convince himself. I am not some backcountry hick. I can handle this. I am X, an officer and a nobleman.
Book?
Who is he (or I, it's same person)?
What is tasteless?
