I can't say that I know much about British shows for children, but I'll go ahead and say Wombles because they sound environmentally conscious.

Toast. There's something warm and comforting about a piece of buttered toast just before bedtime (or on a cold morning).

Neither. Save yourself the trouble and get a goldfish. (this from the mother of a 6 year old girl and a nearly-9 year old boy)

 There are days I would agree with the goldfish thing tollbaby, my boy is nearly 12 and my oldest daughter is 10 and they're both starting to get weird, I'm not ready for puberty to hit yet! At least I have a few more years until my youngest girl is that old.

Do a sport. Nothing bores me more than watching a sport, any sport. (with the sole exception of artistic skating, but I'm not interested in the "sport" aspect, only the artistic aspect)
