Why am I here? While I certainly do have an interest in chatting science fiction (and I've got character witnesses to testify on my behalf), I have to confess that my immediate two goals are both more selfish and more narrow than that, respectively.

I recently wrote an illustrated science fiction novel, 'The Great Rebellion', so I'm always looking for somebody to put it into the hands of a major publishing house (ideally, one that won't take 12 to 18 months to respond). So, as you can guess, social networking is one of my goals here.

The other reason I alluded to is because I'm curious about Charles Pellegrino's information and analysis of the "9/11 Truth" movement. Specifically, whether he's analyzed the findings of the group Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, the work of physicist Stephen Jones, or the numerous other findings from interested individuals which provide strong evidence that the three WTC buildings which imploded that day did so in a controlled manner.

Anyway, on to the questions!

The 'Star Wars' books I've tried have all been horrible, despite my love for the movies.

Quite a few.. The Losers Club by Richard Perez is one of the worst books I've ever read, so i'll stick with that one right now.

Iâ€™m just an occasional science-fiction reader, but the single author I keep returning to is Phillip K. Dick.

4. How/Why you picked your Member-Name
An inside joke. I use it on various sites.

5. How you found IBDoF
Quite some time ago through some research. I occasionally returned and joined when I realised most of my favourite authors were not represented here.

6. Name one book you would never recommend to a friend
I would recommend different things to different people; just because I like something doesnâ€™t mean I feel everyone should read it. I will say Margaret Atwoodâ€™s The Robber Bride, simply because it was the most baffling recommendation anyone has made to me. (I thought she knew me; no wonder things didnâ€™t work out.)

7. Top 5 books/series
A few in random order, from the top of my head: The Caseworker by GyÃ¶rgy KonrÃ¡d, The Castle by Franz Kafka, Dostoyevskyâ€™s Crime and Punishment, Mikhail Bulgakovâ€™s The Master and Margarita, Ilf & Petrovâ€™s The Twelve Chairs, works by N. Gogol, V. Woolfâ€¦

2. Favorite Author: Hummmâ€¦. This one is really hardâ€¦ Only one?... Just for the sake of being consistent with some other of my answers, Iâ€™ll say JRR Tolkien, but this is open to a lot of considerationâ€¦

Please remember to discuss Rachael Ray with Brad, Arathriel, in The Tap Room forum. He's a big fan. He especially likes the EVOO abbreviation she came up with, thinks it's cute and quirky (I'm just digging at Brad, he thinks she's the Anti-Christ of cooking). If you do find out we are a figment of your imagination, I have a wishlist also.

Welcome too, d_wallace. I am also a Douglas Adam fan, as I'm sure many on this forum are, and a Christopher Moore fan. There is a Western thread that could use some new life, too. Hope you enjoy our board.
