Excellent ! :thumb: :worship: :thumb:

Minor typos:

* "your sister's life"

* the holo belt

* Kimberly appears to be the roommate, not the sister ... you need to tweak that sentence a bit to make that less confusing.

I changed the names at the last minute - Kimberly became Naomi.

Fixed, thanks.

I think I'll make a post tomorrow...I've been bothered by having to conform to a genre requirement...I typically don't think in "genres"...I usually just think of a character in a situation or setting and they tell me their story...which is why I haven't been posting much lately--besides being fairly busy with R/L...but I've been feeling guilty lately...so I guess I'll have a go at it tomorrow or Friday....

Brad, you can do whatever you want with Rex and Jack now, but be careful with Mrs. Hattori (Rex told me she has a half a dozen Shurkens, a Fukiya and a Shinobigatana in her overly large handbag and that her father was a Shishou). :P

Aunflin, as I mentioned before, post whatever you want. Don’t let the gentle ribbing about genre stop you (or Kahrey) from posting. A post w/o a genre is 1,000 time better than no post at all.

To whoever is scoring my post, I am hoping for a bonus point:

AUNFLIN: Hey, don't let the genre switchin thingee stop you - please go right ahead and write whatever stokes your fancy. The whole point is to have fun amusing yourself and others, while getting a little practice in.

The "point" system is a purely artificial construct that really doesnt mean a whole heck of a lot ... sorta like the points on that "Who's Line Is It Anyway?" show

Then again, if points do matter to ya, you can always compensate by going for a bonus point to replace the missing genre point ... scroll back a few pages to see the bonus point discussion, if the idea interests you.

/me briefly dons the VB Judicial Robes.

EXCELLENT POST, GHOST :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Current: Ghost +1 (obvious), Originality + 1(Detective: Sherlock Holmes), Entertaining +1 (Soil Expert ... 'GR8 SX' with "OL MAN' Suin), Continuity (smoother than a baby's butt), Rule Breaker -0 (nada rules broken), Bonus + 1 (SEE NOTE**) TOTAL: 5

** Ok, I'll happily give you credit. However, on a forward going basis, I'd like to propose a clarification. As I understood the way Ghost proposed the bonus point(s) to work, a 20Q answer reference must be used in VB before submitting it to 20Q - and you only get the VB bonus if it turns out to be the correct answer. In this particular case, the VB bonus usage trailed the 20Q submission by 5 days - there's no challenge in slipping in a reference if you already know the correct answer :P

Overall Scoring
Brad_H P: 21 O: 20 E: 21 C: 20 RB: -2 Bonus: 0 TOTAL: 80
felonius P: 19 O: 19 E: 18 C: 17 RB: -0 Bonus: 0 TOTAL: 73
Kahrey P: 12 O: 6 E: 12 C: 11 RB:-0 Bonus: 0 TOTAL: 41
Aunflin P: 9 O: 5 E: 8 C: 9 B: -1 Bonus: 0 TOTAL: 30 :help:
Ghost P: 6 O: 6 E: 6 C: 6 RB: -0 Bonus: 2 TOTAL: 26 << (+5)
Mrdude P: 5 O: 2 E: 5 C: 5 RB: -0 Bonus: 0 TOTAL: 17
friendforlife P: 1 O: 1 E: 1 C: 0 RB:-0 Bonus: 0 TOTAL: 3

Excellent Felonius - I used to regularly read the X-Men until a few years ago, when I no longer had the time for comics. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Boy, the 'reality' portion of our storyline is starting to get crowded, now that we've broached the superhero genre without the aid of nohshe. Ah well ... might as well run with it. :P
That malevolent Ghost wrote:/hehehe – that wasn’t a candy bar that was an Exlax Bar.

Good, Felonius! It's eerie how close you came to depicting Mrs. Redmond (a real person--with a big behind :P ), Jim Schinzing (the old drunken pot washer where I work), and Mary Rose (who I based off my grandma)...very interesting...now let me think...what to do next...

Ya know - just a thought here - it really does say something when the commentary on the volleyball > 4 times the size of the volleyball itself...

what it says I'm not quite sure - but I guess I've just contributed to it...

We have a tie in the weekly Volleyball Sherlock Competition:

Ghost: 8* (9)
Felonius: 8

Aunflin: 6
Brad_H: 4

* Brad gave me (Ghost) a bonus point for the 20 question answer, but I agree the answer should be on the same day you answer the question so I’ll forgo the bonus point.

Ghost and felonius each get ½ Sherlock point.

This quickie popped into my head when I read Aunflin’s latest post and I had to get it out before it messed with my work.

It is short and silly - I hope it sets the tone for the week.

Heh ... thanks.

I wanted to squeeze in an indignant reference about the apearance of Mr. Morton on Babylon 5, but that woulda disrupted the flow too much. :P
