A toean is a story, dialog, question, or statement in the history and lore of Chan (Zen) Buddhism, generally containing aspects that are inaccessible to ratoenal understanding, yet that may be accessible to Intoeition
I think it may well be a toean.

{inhaling deeply from the roiling clouds of noxious puns, as linguistic scavengers loot the corpses of the fallen, and the grieving cry for the newly toe-less}

Ah, I love the smell of napalm in toe mourning.

It appears that Kvetch has broken quarantine, and has exposed The Appendix to Toephoid Fever.

I guess we'll have to call him "Toephoid Kvetch" now.

I was sure that I had posted "Toe be, or not toe be?" the first time around, but I don't see it. Isn't that the question anyone who is thinking about joining this discussion should be asking themselves?

Smoe resarcrhres have fonud taht mispselligns are inisgnifciant - as lnog as the fisrt and last lettres are on the rihgt palce, we are able to read the wrod. This is beacuse we raed the wohle wrod, not each ltteer seapratley.

Toetally neat.

Restless, pacing to and toe, Gabriel first considered some target practice with his spiffy new toe and arrows in the toepiary, then decided to relax in the library with an old Edgar Allan Toe volume instead. "A small toeken of my esteem, kittoe," Salazar Toeriaga, the nefarious toetalitarian dictator, had said upon first presenting him with the book years ago at the protoecol toega party where they'd first met.

He could still remember how passionate Salazar could become while plotting the overthrow of all the infernal commie pinktoes: "Only toegether can we turn them to the dark side of the Force," he would intoene menacingly.

"Toe is me," Gabe sighed. "How I miss those days. But what is past is toelogue, I suppose...rightoe, to the library, then."

/:roll: Oh man. I just read that through a second time and I think it's going to make me sick...intoelerable, just intoelerable.

{Brad watches Felon's atoemic pun-bombing of the thread with a mixtoer of awe ... and dread that the resulting fallout is likely to cause metatarsic cancer for everyone reading this}
If the radiance of a thousand suns
Were toe burst at once into the sky,
That would be like the splendor of the Mighty One...
Now I am become Death,
Toe shatterer of Worlds.

/me runs to Felon's side and begins examining him, overcome with worry.

That's what I was afraid of ... looks like a combination of metatarsic cancer, and toemaine poisoning. If he hadn't put his foot in his mouth earlier, he might have lived a few more weeks. Poor guy.

What is toe become of us, here at the end of all things ? :cry:
