Fortunately, I seem doomed to be lost in Minnesota, looking for Cho's cornfield.

Unfortunately, being lost in Minnesota while searching for a specific cornfield doesn't seem very "fortunate" to me.

Unfortunately (for you), you will be right close to me! North(corn)field is just north of Faribault which is just northwest of West Corncob, which is the location of my cornfield.

When will you be here?

Maybe we can meet for a hug or a cup of coffee or something!

Fortunately for this landlubber, it's my granddaughter's graduation (St. Olaf's) so I'll be all bound up in family stuff — like loading her car and our van of 4 years of accumulated college stuff; I fear there'll be no time to meet. But if I can get the van to fly over your cornfield, I'll drop the necessary whap.

Unfortunately, I am in my bunker, protected from whappage. hehehehe

Some of my former students go to St. Olaf. Maybe they know each other.

Fortunately for you, the van refuses to fly; therefore my bunker destroying whaps are useless.

Her major interest 4 years ago was music; she's been a member of the choir since her freshman year. Other than that, I don't really know a lot about her school years.

Unfortunately, I'm all by myself.

Except for the cat.

And Elvis.

And Bigfoot.

Damn that Bigfoot! He's shedding like crazy and barfing up furballs the size of basket balls.

NOT ON THE BED!!!!

Gah!

Excuse me.

I have to beat Bigfoot with the broom again.

Unfortunately, I'm never alone; there are three cats who alternate between putting me to sleep, then waking me up so they can get between me and what I'm trying to achieve.

Fortunately, all you need to stop them is a bag, a couple of bricks, and a deep lake.

Unfortunately the RSPCA strike team (or Merkin equivalent) would stop you

Fortunately (for them), I've been their slave for upwards of 15 years, so they're safe with me.

Fortunately (for everyone's sanity) the oldest cat decided to put me to sleep for five hours this morning.

Fortunately, he is young enough that it mostly won't impact his life too horrifically.

Unfortunately, there is an age limit for being young enough
