As long as it's a thread point, and not a sherlock point, I guess I'm ok with it.

I just wanna get the ball rolling again ...

Since no one was posting, I put down the gavel and hung up the robe for another go.

Thanks Brad,

I edited some typos, and some grammar and tense issues. I think it reads better now.

Bonus Point: I would have raised the point total from 4 to 5.

/me picks up my doffed robes, finds an uneaten walnut in pocket ... mmm good. :smash:
/(a three line posted edited 5 times :slap: ) happy now? :P

It doesn’t look like there will be a Sherlock winner for this week, unless of course there is a lot of weekend writing.

Weekly Sherlock Winner

Brad 4
Ghost n/a

Again, I can not award a Sherlock for just one post. Brad, consider yourselves 4 points ahead of the competition for this week’s award.

Ya know, I don't know if anyone else noticed (probably not), but that entire post was one long, expertly crafted run-on structure ... there's not a single end-of-sentence period anywhere in there.

Rather than being a goof, however, it's friggin great. :worship:

Well done, Felon ... a grammatical tour de force of function over form, and an immensely enjoyable read too. :thumb:

I'm not very good with compliments, gentlemen - but thank you for your kind ones.

To return some: Brad, loved Rexor's character - especially when he starts to clean himself - I grew up with a Lab and the ball-licking was an endless source of amusement for my family  The truck tire exercise machine was priceless as well...

Ghost, very pleased that you've gotten in the game more (hope it continues), the call-in show was a GREAT and subtle vehicle for some spirals back to previous events - from a creative and a structural point o' view - very well done. :thumb:

Wish I could say the run-on structure's original but Robert Coover uses it a lot, and I've seen it many times in short fiction journals too - it's neat to play with because I think it mimics the "inner voice" a lot more accurately than traditional prose...we think rapid-fire thoughts to ourselves with no sign of any periods...
