GRILKA: It's your turn to wrestle with the 'pickle problem', BTW. :P

p.s. I tweaked my post slightly, to clarify the temporal war overtones ;)

Bard... don't worry about it. For my next post (after I let a few others jump in) I will visit something new... never the same thing twice, right?.

I left the degree of how much continuity to use entirely up to people's discretion.

As for myself - I like to use a little extra continuity in my posts because it adds to the challenge and to the fun for me. Occasionally revisiting prior loose threads adds an extra degree of depth and nostalgia ... and allows you to get deeper into areas you'd ordinarily gloss over or avoid completely on a first pass.

Anyway, it's optional.

Aha! Nice one Brad - y'know, I used to have time to obsess over continuity back at the old story with the Buzzboard gang - I'd drool over side plots and revisit stuff from months past with little comments in passing, stick in old characters now & then... ahh, the good old days. Pardon me here if I don't mention anything at all from previous posts though! (I do whine a lot about not having enough time, right??)

::feverishly tries to build a post around the idea of a 'Gherkinator'::

::fails miserably::

Well, there's always the totally irrelevant sidebar I guess!

You go girl... don't let mean Brady wady scare you. You write about whatever you want. We don't care what Brad says about you, we think you are swell. [ Trebor finds himself back in 3rd grade... kicking sand on the nice girl as a sign of affection].

Sorry... a bit too much sugar tonight I think.. perhaps I will go lay down for a while [ Trebor walks away mumbling "Very good driver....yeh, very good driver. Wapner at 7....yeh, gotta watch Wapner at 7"]

Heheheheh ... yeah, feel free to post whatever you like. I left the final sentance open ended enough for practically anything anyone cares to set to paper :D

Lesse, we've done the following so far:
* Sci Fi
* Fiction
* Comedy
* Superhero-Toon crossover
* Gumshoe
* Eldritch Horror
* Dime Romance / Music Video
* Bond Spoof
* TV Crossover (M*A*S*H)

We still haven't done:
* Fantasy
* Action/Adventure
* Famous Author Spoof
* Historical Drama
* Classic Pulps
* Juvie/Children's Story
* Left Field (no genre)
etc.

Anyway, if you're tight for ideas, try the list above. I'm omnivorous, and will gladly kick around any/all genres.

Since it appears we're dropping the pickle theme for a bit, I suppose I can summarize the main thematic joke, for the benefit of onlookers ...

The good ship lollypop, crewed by carnivorous vegans, fighting a temporal war of extermination against a veggie-based lifeform ... carnivorous vegans vs veggies :lol:

GRILKA: That jimmy character of yours is just a little too real, Diane ... almost as if you're writing about someone you know personally :lol:

Personally? Naaah :) Yeah it doesn't get much more 'open' than that! When you only have 5 minutes, you gotta make it count 8)

I hope nobody has said anything to me anywhere else because this is the only place I've been!

Brad... I think you need some professional help with this reptile fettish. I know this really good doctor who works with "Death Therapy... it's a garenteed cure".

Death Therapy can't help everyone

Post by illusionaryillustrator »

Careful now. Last I heard, Death Therapy is in the courts. But remember, just take it in Baby Steps. Small steps lead to the cure.

S'matter - you have a problem with low budget cheesy costume portrayals of gremlins sabotaging jet planes or something ? :wink:

Shatner actually did a decent job in that eposide ... the part fit perfectly with his over-the-top ham-handed method acting style :lol:

Fear not - if I do a Twilight Zone post, it'll be an original.

OK - I finally took a few minutes - obviously just a very few - to pen a few words.

I specifically chose not to hamper my creative juices with reading through the rest of all the posts - hopefully this doesn't cause too much disruption...

Yeah, yeah. I bet yer the kinda guys that "reads" National Geographic by only looking at the pictures of nekkid aboriginals too. Friggin lazy ex kiwi, can't even be bothered to read more than 1 post back in a creative writing thread in his own fora ... sheesh ... now that's gratitude :roll: :wink:

Just for that, I went back and revised my post - I fixed a few typos, and them made YOU the sleezy announcer :lol:

/me stops typing, to avoid drying up kilty's dwindling supply of 'creative juices' ;)

Who spilled all this "creative juice" all over the floor.

Actually, I don't care...you just better have it cleaned up before MOM gets home.
