Are we going to let felonius win a Sherlock with just one post?

Come on let’s get the volleyball in the air.

That one took me most of my dinner hour. No time to re-edit it ... gotta run. Game 7 of the Nets-Pistons awaits.

Ya know, speaking as someone who's in the top 1% of all SETI@home participants ... I really enjoyed portraying an alien kidnapping scene with mild overtones of bodily orifice violation.

It was an amusingly catheteric (pun w/'catharsic' intended) experience :slap:  :smash:  :butter:

The fact that the aliens involved loosely resemble Bastet (the Egyptian Goddess of cats) is just serendipitous icing on the cake, since the "Seti" project itself is named after another Egyptian God. :thumb:

I like to write on multiple levels - it makes it more fun and amusing.

If anyone starts to get writer's block, remember that Robert (Elliot) is far from beinng the only character in our story thus far ... and you can always introduce new ones.

Being bold and agressive is always the best tactic in games like this :thumb:

Thanks. I suppose that's a byproduct of my degrees in computers and math - although I havent really used either degree very much since leaving college, I'm still a bit of a geek for logic and structure. :P

Time permitting, I may try to squeeze in apost before leaving work today.

I have an idea for a "Polyglotic Drama" post set in a restaurant. Should be both fun and amusing.

Ok, posted.

Despite the fairly straightlaced genre, I managed to slip in a few subtle jokes about canned catfood, and feline dietary preferences. Enjoy. :P

Sherlock Winner for Week 4

felonius 8
Brad_H 8
Kahrey 4

To break the tie we have three choices:

1) felonius and Brad each win ½ a point
2) I have to break the tie by deciding which had the better narratives
3) We go for double or nothing (But someone else could get the points)

Let me have some feedback.

Good Omens (may not a true genre, but now it can’t be used again)
I suppose I cheated a little by just naming a novel I was ripping off - point taken, Judge. Maybe I should have used "Fire and Brimstone Burlesque", or something like that. We did have 'Twin Peaks' and 'Yugi-oh' previously, though...

I'm impartial about the Sherlocks - I'm having a lot of fun playing and I'm not that concerned about 'em - I trust your discretion, Ghost. :thumb:

Perhaps the continuity that's been slowly building has begun discouraging new participants from joining in ?

I was hoping the loosened continuity focus (it's optional) in the current match would help prevent that effect.

C'mon people ... be bold !

Don't be afraid to turn the plot completely on it's head, throw curve balls, or kill off long-running characters. Be crazy & agressive, and just go for it :thumb:

Aunflin and Kahrey and Brad have actually been a lot more diligent about continuity than I have...I usually just use the last poster's final sentence, and provided names, to help shape my own posts...

Killing off some characters sounds interesting...I'm thinking 'Agatha Christie', perhaps...

But not right now. I sure wish I was in the same time zone as you guys. It's after 1 AM here and I have to go to BED.

Think of all the extra work writers could get done if they didn't have to sleep... :slap:

Until tomorrow, fellow scribes...

I just got back into town last night and had to work today...so that's why I haven't posted. I'll see if I can hit a volley tomorrow...

Do we want to amend the rules that if after 72 hours no one has posted, the person can post again? :?
