True
Ryan Cabrera

I wont talk
I wont breathe
I wont move till you finally see
That you belong with me

You might think I dont look
But deep inside
In the corner of my mind
Im attached to you
Im weak
Its true
Cuz im afraid to know the answer
Do you want me too?
Cuz my heart keeps falling faster

I've waited all my life
To cross this line
To the only thing thats true
So I will not hide
Its time to try
Anything to be with you
All my life I've waited
This is true

You dont know what you do
Everytime you walk into the room
Im afraid to move
Im weak
Its true
Im just scared to know the ending
Do you see me too?
Do you even know u met me?

I've waited all my life to cross this line
To the only thing thats true
So I will not hide
Its time to try anything to be with you
All my life I've waited

This is true

I know when I go ill be on my way to you
The way thats true

I've waited all my life to cross this line
To the only thing thats true
So I will not hide
Its time to try anything to be with you
All my life I've waited

This is true

I Died For You
Iced Earth

I can't believe this now
This isn't what I planned
I lived and died and now
I just can't understand
With all the love I feel
I could never leave her
No matter what the cost
My soul's the price to see her

Oh how I love you
The pain won't go away
Oh when I need you
You're always so far away
I cry for you
Leaving myself to blame
I died for you
I gave up everything

The pain was just too much
When I finally saw her
She's happy and in love
In love with my best friend
What makes it hurt so bad
Is that I love them both
And they will never know
For love I sold my soul

Oh how I love you
The pain won't go away
Oh when I need you
You're always so far away
I cry for you
Leaving myself to blame
I died for you
I gave up everything

lyrics written just for those who are made nervous by the US's actions in Iraq...

David Bowie, Earthling, I'm Afraid of Americans
Johnny’s in america, low-tech’s at the
Wheel
No-one needs anyone, they don’t even
Just pretend
Johnny’s in america

I’m afraid of americans
I’m afraid of the world
I’m afraid I can’t help it
I’m afraid I can’t
Johnny’s in america

Johnny wants a brain, johnny wants to
Suck on a coke
Johnny wants a woman, johnny wants
To think of a joke
Johnny’s in america

I’m afraid of americans
I’m afraid of the world
I’m afraid I can’t help it
I’m afraid I can’t
Johnny’s in america

Johnny’s in america, johnny looks up at
The stars
Johnny combs his hair and johnny
Wants pussy and cars
Johnny’s in america

I’m afraid of americans
I’m afraid of the world
I’m afraid I can’t help it
I’m afraid I can’t
Johnny’s in america

God is an american
I’m afraid of americans
I’m afraid of the world
I’m afraid I can’t help it
I’m afraid I can’t

I’m afraid of americans
I’m afraid of the words
I’m afraid I can’t help it
I’m afraid I can’t
Johnny’s in america
Johnny’s in america

it's not that great of a tune but the lyrics are just so damn funny....

Abyss of Your Eyes
Stratovarius

I feel like I'm drowning, trying to catch my breath. Don't know what is happening, there's no sense of time.
Deep underneath my skin, feeling the pain within hear my cry. I feel drown towards you can't resist, I don't know why.
My life is changing I cannot recall, where I've been before
The abyss of your eyes, meaning so much more, am I losing my mind
The sun isn't shining, your eyes light my way, I've found what I've been searching for, my love won't go astray.
Deep underneath my skin, feeling the pain within hear my cry. I feel drown towards you can't resist, I don't know why.
My life is changing I cannot recall, where I've been before
The abyss of your eyes, meaning so much more, am I losing my mind
So many years my drifting heart has wandered around, don't turn on me please, won't you stay by my side.
My life is changing I cannot recall, where I've been before
The abyss of your eyes, meaning so much more, am I losing my mind.

Yes I did and I love it. It's on my burned cd that I listen to all the time. I read their lyrics and I love them! So I shall get their album when I can, but as Wal-Mart don't sell much GOOD music, I'll have to wait to find it reasonable on half.com or something.

Another wonderful song that I like:

ANNIE HASLAM lyrics - "After The Oceans Are Gone"

We spend our nights in shared dreams
wrapped in a jade green mist
our hearts running wild, as the spirit is free
nothing compares to this
can you picture this a beauty unexplained
all the stories every told revealing

[Chorus I]:
After the ocean is gone
where do we go what do we do
can we carry on in a world without love
can I carry on in a world without you

Oooh

A message came to us all
across a moonlit sky
a love flowing endlessly
soft as a virgin sigh
can you picture this, a beauty unexplained
all the stories ever told revealing

[Chorus I]

[Chorus II]:
After the oceans are gone
what will we do where will we be
will we carry on in a world without blue
will you carry on in a world without me
Oooh, Oooh

Bring your out-thereness in here
in here, in here.

Don't be afraid to be yourself
love and light will wash away your tears
in here

We are all stars in the night
fish in the mountain stream
no reason to cry
nothing is as it seems
can you picture this, a beauty unexplained
all the stories ever told revealing

[Chorus I]

[Chorus II 2x]

Bullet Ride
In Flames

Do you feel anything at all?
Do you hear steps at the door?
Do you reckon the smell of....?
It's life-the the dark that binds you

Frigthened by your own smell
Bitternes will run you through

Silent screaming
Turning, twisting the alphabet
Frantic eyes
Awaiting the answer
Splinters of a poem
Fragments of what you used to be
Habitual and gullible
Run-down memoirs is all that's left

Do you wish to sleep?
Do you aim for the shadow?
Do you feel infected?
It's life-the the dark that binds you

It's the cowardice that puls you under
And takes you to the end, where it begins
Release, the world is waiting on your arrival
Close your eyes, as we witness another bullet ride

Do you know about atrocity?
Do you that everbody's gone?
Do you know that you're on your own?
It's life-the the dark that binds you

All That I've Got
The Used

So deep that it didn't even bleed and catch me
Off guard, red handed
Now I'm far from lonely
Asleep I still see you lying next to me
So deep that it didn't even bleed and catch me I..

I need something else
Would someone please just give me
Hit me, knock me out
And let me go back to sleep
I can laugh
All I want inside I still am empty
So deep that it didn't even bleed and catch me I...

I'll be just fine
Pretending I'm not
I'm far from lonely
And it's all that I've got

I'll be just fine
Pretending I'm not
I'm far from lonely
And it's all that I've got

I guess, I remember every glance you shot me
Un-harmed, I'm losing weight and some body heat
I squoze so hard
I stopped your heart from beating
So deep that I didn't even scream f*ck me, I..

I'll be just fine
Pretending I'm not
I'm far from lonely
And it's all that I've got

I'll be just fine
Pretending I'm not
I'm far from lonely
And it's all that I've got

And it's all that I've got
Yeah, it's all that I've got
It's all that I've got
It's all that I've got
It's all that I've got!

So deep that it didn't even bleed and catch me
So deep that I didn't even scream f*ck me

I'll be just fine
Pretending I'm not
I'm far from lonely
And it's all that I've got

I'll be just fine
Pretending I'm not
I'm far from lonely
And it's all that I've got

And it's all that I've got
Yeah, it's all that I've got

I just found these and I liked them.

The Taste of Ink
The Used

Is it worth it can you even hear me
Standing with your spotlight on me
Not enough to feed the hungry
I'm tired and I felt it for awhile now
In this sea of lonely
The taste of ink is getting old
It's four o' clock in the f*cking morning
Each day gets more and more like the last day
Still I can see it coming
While I'm standing in the river drowning
This could be my chance to break out
This could be my chance to say goodbye
At last it's finally over
Couldn't take this town much longer
Being half dead wasn't what I planned to be
Now I'm ready to be free

So here I am it's in my hands
And I'll savor every moment of this
So here I am alive at last
And I'll savor every moment of this

And won't you think I'm pretty
When I'm standing top the bright lit city
And I'll take your hand and pick you up
And keep you there to so you can see
As long as you're alive and care
I promise I will take you there
And we'll drink and dance the night away

As long as you're alive
Here I am
I promise I will take you there

Swords and Knives

Orzabal

Awaking world of innocence,
So grave those first born cries.
When life begins with needles and pins,
It ends with swords and knives.

Oh, dangerman, oh dangerman,
Your blade fits like a glove,
When forged in steel, time cannot heal
That blood red bond of love.

In times of trouble you're an open book
With a change in the way you look
And it's sad love's not enough,
To make things better.

When life begins with needles and pins
It ends with Swords and Knives,
God save those born to die.

Turn the tables, we'll burn the fables,
Lies beneath the visions and day-dreams,
Fooled by now, we mystify the past,
Like a dream, like it never happened.

Hmm...
Prograstination is the grave of opportunity.

I'm afraid of the ideas behind "I'm afraid of America."

Very many Americans were against the Iraqi war. An even greater number were trying hard to decide which was the lesser of two evils. So people of both those persuasions tend to feel that we were railroaded into an incorrect — or at very best, a dubious war. And the rampant (probably) minority, screamed us down. There was even a book "Traitors" which claimed that disagreeing with the President was traitorous.

This is NOT the America (U. S.) I know; but it is the U. S. as we are perceived. Some of the misperceptions come from our actions; some from fear. But much of it comes from an error I keep trying to combat. No gathering of human beings greater than one person is monolithic in attitude or action; and I doubt the solidness of the one — aren't we all sometimes of mixed minds.

Yes, there are observable characteristics that suggest nationality to others — we all bear the marks of our cultures. But sociologists speak of European Culture — the Culture of the countries of Europe, of the British Isles, and of various former colonies of these nations, such as Iceland, North and South America, and the island nations of Australia and New Zealand. In such a classification, Canada, England, France, etc. all are subcultures of this European Culture. Inside each of these national subcultures we have sub-subcultures. In the U. S. we consider the South to have a culture that is distinct from those of the East, the Midwest, and the West. We have further divisions into the Southwest and California. We also have the "youth culture," the "blue-haired" culture, and so on.

According to the novels I've read, in England in the 18th century the culture of Yorkshire was very different from that of Devon, but were closer to each other than they were to those of Scotland and Wales (different countries, with different underlying languages, but under the same sovereign).

We, the world, could learn to stop being so afraid of groups, if we could learn to see them as individual people. It would be much safer if we would learn to have a healthy concern for, or distrust of, or fear of the various leaders, as appropriate. And then to find out ways to rein in, control, or defang those leaders as necessary.

Death In Fire - Amon Amarth

The wait is soon at end
Always charge never bend
Morning is here, make your stand
Live for honor, glory, death in fire!

Total war is here
Face it without fear
Age of sword, age of spear
Fight for honor, glory, death in fire!

See the fire rise
Flames are raging high
Soon all will burn and die
Burn for honor, glory, death in fire!

Storm of lethal flames
Only death remains
Ragnarok is closing in
Die for honor, glory, death in fire!

Forces of chaos is on the move
Everyone, choose your side
And know the end is coming soon
The day for all to die

The day is here when Bifrost breaks
Nor sun or moon will rise
When the dead rise from their graves
and Surtur spreads his fire

All you know will wither away
And sink into the sea
A new world will be born one day
Where everyone is free

[Lead Sæderberg]

Total war is here, face it without fear
Age of sword, age of spear
Fight for honor, glory, death in fire!

Storm of lethal flames
Only death remains - Ragnarok is our fate
Die for honor, die for glory
Die, death in fire!

Ride For Vengeance - Amon Amarth

As His Life's blood leaving
I hold my son, my only son
And tears fill my burning eyes

While his skin turns pale as snow
Butchered he lies here bleeding in my arms
Slewn by the men of the single god
Hatred burns in my chest

Rain falls from a raging heaven
The wind howls like wolves at the moon
I will seek my vengeance for my son

I swear I'll avenge my first born one
I ride fast through the woods
My friends are by my side
Dark Hatred burns in my eyes
"Slaves of hvitekrist today you die!"

"Maktiga gudar,
i gyllene slaen.
Hjalp mig i striden
mot sondraparna,
Den hoge skall
For huggen hamnas
och blod skall galdas
i blod"

Our cloaks fly in the wind
As we ride in the cold dark night
We're closing in our enemies
We rage in our hearts burning bright

The clouds scatter in the northern wind
A full moon rides the pitch black sky
"Now, hounds of Hvitekrist,
your time has come to die!"

"Kneel before my sword!
No mercy! Your time has come to die!
This is the ride for vengeance!"
The penis mighter than the sword.

Bless The Broken Road
Rascal Flatts

I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you

Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true

Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

Now I’m just rollin’ home into my lover's arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you

My boyfriend loves Rascal Flatts and he said this was his song to me. It's an alright song, so I thought I'd post it. But I don't like Rascal Flatts. And I refuse to listen to them.

Kings of The Carnival Creation - Dimmu Borgir

Incarnated marvels simplified
Effects from such a disconsolate kind
Impotence of the once so perfect living
Erase and rewind

Stand rigid for the next battle
Peace means reloading your guns
The love for life is all hatred in disguise
A carnival creation with masks undone

In search for the guidelines to the gateways of sin
through mires of misanthropy with wrath in mind
Sophistication as cruelty and perfection as virulent truth
Confidently dawned, to pick the best of enemies
An abyss womb stretched wide open, exposed to retaliate

With the stigma feasting upon your flesh I wish you well
Thorns from the fountains of fate licking lepered skin
Worshipped by anyone's mass on our planet hell
What on earth possessed you?

Consuming illusions made from hysteria and swallowed tongues
Devoured by doubt, conducting arts of misconception
Testimonial sufficiency declaring numbness of all perceptions

Glance into the blackness hidden beneath your surface
And enjoy the suffering, sanity drained in disrespect
With such bedevilled faith in good, subsequently trusting evil
Next step for mankind will be the last seasons in sin

Left are the kings of the carnival creation
Carrying out the echoes of the fallen

Sense the withering eternity as it fades away
The ultimate graceless voyage of all times
Only death will be guarding your angels, silently
Cripples joining arms in clamour
Institutionalized for the rebirth, the herd will be hunted

Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse - Dimmu Borgir

The battle raged on and on
Fuelled by the venom of hatred for man
Consistently, without the eyes to see
By those who revel in sewer equally

We, the prosperity of the future seal
Cloaked by the thunders of the north wind
Born to capture the essence of
The trails of our kind

Zero tolerance must be issued forth
Behind the enemy's line
So it shall be written
And so it shall be done

[repeat 1st and 2nd verse]

Discover and conceive the secret wealth
And pass it unto your breed
Become your own congregation
Measure the sovereignty of it's invigoration

We, who not deny the animal of our nature
We, who yearn to preserve our liberation
We, who face darkness in our hearts with a solemn fire
We, who aspire to the truth and pursue it's strength

Are we not the undisputed prodigy of warfare
Fearing all the mediocrity that they possess
Should we not hunt the bastards down with our might
Reinforce and claim the throne that is rightfully ours

Consider the god we could be without the grace
Once and for all
Diminish the sub principle and leave it's toxic trace
Once and for all
The penis mighter than the sword.

Dimmu Borgir rules.

However, it is odd to read the lyrics of a Dimmu Borgir song that isn't Satanic.

Call it something new.

I love this song. I like how the lyrics change slightly as the song progresses. It makes reading the lyrics all the way through a little more important.

Mudvayne - Happy?

In this hole
That is me
The dead are rolling over
In this hole
Thickening
Dirt shoveled over shoulders

I feel it in me
So overwhelmed
All this pressure centerizing
My life overturned
Unfair the despair
All these scars keep ripping open

Peel me from the skin
Tear me from the rind
Does it make you happy now?

Tear me from the bone
Tear me from myself
Are you feeling happy now?

In this hole
That is me
A life that's growing feeble
In this hole
So limiting
The sun has set; all darkens

Buried underneath
Hands slip off the wheel
Internal path-way to contention

Peel me from the skin
Tear me from the rind
Does it make you happy now?

Tear me from the bone
Tear me from myself
Are you feeling happy now?

Are you
HAPPY?

Are you
HAPPY?

Are you feeling happy?

In this hole
That is me
Left with a heart exhausted
What's my release??
What sets me free?
Do you pull me up just to push me down again?

Peel me from the skin
Tear me from the rind
Does it make you happy now?

Tear me from the bone
Tear me from myself
Are you feeling happy now?

Peel me from the skiiiiiiiiiin
Peel me from the skiiiiiiiiiin
Tear me from the rind
Does it make you happy now?

Tear me from the boooooooooone
Tear me from the boooooooooone
Tear me from myself
Are you feeling happy now?

Does it make you happy?
Are you feeling happy?
Are you f**king happy?
Now that I'm lost left with nothing

Does it make you happy?
Are you feeling happy?
Are you f**king happy?
Now that I'm lost left with nothing?

Her Ghost In The Fog - Cradle of Filth

"The Moon, she hangs like a cruel portrait
soft winds whisper the bidding of trees
as this tragedy starts with a shattered glass heart
and the Midnightmare trampling of dreams
But no, no tears please
Fear and pain may accompany Death
But it is desire that shepherds it's certainty
as We shall see..."

She was divinity's creature
That kissed in cold mirrors
A Queen of Snow
Far beyond compare
Lips attuned to symmetry
Sought Her everywhere
Dark liqoured eyes
An Arabian nightmare...

She shone on watercolours
Of my pondlife as pearl
Until those who couldn't have Her
Cut Her free of this World

That fateful Eve when...
The trees stank of sunset and camphor
Their lanterns chased phantoms and threw
An imquisitive glance, like the shadows they cast
On my love picking rue by the light of the moon

Putting reason to flight
Or to death as their way
They crept through woods mesmerized
By the taffeta Ley
Of Her hips that held sway
Over all they surveyed
Save a mist on the rise
(A deadly blessing to hide)
Her ghost in the fog

They raped left...
(Five men of God)
...Her ghost in the fog

Dawn discovered Her there
Beneath the Cedar's stare
Silk dress torn, Her raven hair
Flown to gown Her beauty bared
Was starred with frost, I knew Her lost
I wept 'til tears crept back to prayer

She'd sworn Me vows in fragrant blood
"Never to part
Lest jealous Heaven stole our hearts"

Then this I screamed:
"Come back to Me
I was born in love with thee
So why should fate stand inbetween?"

And as I drowned Her gentle curves
With dreams unsaid and final words
I espied a gleam trodden to earth
The Church bell tower key...

The village mourned her by the by
For She'd been a witch
their Men had longed to try
And I broke under Christ seeking guilty signs
My tortured soul on...

...Ice...

A Queen of snow
Far beyond compare
Lips attuned to symmetry
Sought Her everywhere
Trappistine eyes
An Arabian nightmare...

She was Erzulie possessed
Of a milky white skin
My porcelain Yin
A graceful Angel of Sin

And so for Her...
The breeze stank of sunset and camphor
My lantern chased Her phantom and blew
Their Chapel ablaze and all locked in to a pain
Best reserved for judgement that their bible construed...

Putting reason to flight
Or to flame unashamed
I swept form cries
Mesmerized
By the taffeta Ley
Or Her hips that held sway
Over all those at bay
Save a mist on the rise
A final blessing to hide
Her ghost in the fog

And I embraced
Where lovers rot...
Her ghost in the fog

Her ghost in the fog
The penis mighter than the sword.

Majesty

Postby KeE » Sat Jun 04, 2005 4:17 pm

You all just have to share your favourite.
So do I, but the deliverance is also so important, so open this link:

So am I
Good or bad
The way that things did turn out
I did only make you sad

And we cried and we cried
On the phone
Oh but in my mind
You were never that all alone

Oh you were majesty
Your roads were heavy
And your longing was cutting through bone

So am I
Am I good or bad
Could only awake your anger
I could only make you mad
Now was that how you showed me
That you were still so young and bold
Anyway those fights did drive me
And I was dying of thirst and I wasn't growin' old

Oh you were majesty
Your ropes were heavy
And your roads were very cold
Oh, oh, oh majesty

But in my mind
I could still climb inside your bed
And I could be victorious
Still the only man to pass to the glorious arch of your head, o-oh

Oh you were majesty
Your ropes were heavy
And your cheeks were very red

Oh you were majesty
And it's like I said
That spirit, is now dead

The band is Madrugada (http://www.emi.no/madrugada/front.asp), the lyrics are found on various fansites.

Very interesting.

Maybe I'll post the lyrics my friend comes up with--after I help him with them. He plays guitar very well...but he wants to sing and can't...and his lyrics reflect that. I need to work with him on that--and I can't sing, either, though my chorus teacher thought I could...

I bet you can sing fine. And I bet yall could find someone who sings to maybe help you out. Or maybe voice lessons could be an option. Both of yall are probably better than the majority of people who get record deals these days.

Evergrey - Madness Caught Another Victim

I've been searching for so long
For someone to lead the way
And I've been searching for someone
Someone to ease the pain
And I've been searching for someone
Anyone to help me cure my shame
Madness caught another victim
And the victim's name is blame

What are my options?
When the road that I'm walking ends
What are my options?
When all my ambitions fail

The words you now are reading
Are meant for your eyes only
I hoped for strength but now I'm leaving
Cause I fear my feelings
And to not do you justice
Is too much for me to bare
And as courage is my weakness
I choose the cowards path

What are my options?
When the road that I'm walking ends?
And what are my options?
When the last ships of hope have sailed
What are my options?
When the road that I'm walking ends
So what are my options?
When my words are all that remains
In the 60’s, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

Renaissance - Black Flame

I am words, I am speaking
I never heard my conclusion
Lost the way in my confusion, in illusion
Lost inside the picture frame

I'm not to blame, I didn't see the black flame
I'm not ashamed, its poetry, the black flame
I'm rearranged, it's changing me, the black flame
Burns my blackened brain

I am strong, I am leaving
I never knew I'd feel the need so
Where to go, I'll turn the flow, I could not know
Screams inside the burning pain

It's spinning head, it's under hand-the black flame
It lies instead, I turned and I ran-the black flame
On me, it fed,I understand-the black flame
Burns my blackened brain

Run from me, don't you see
That we are one and I'm a part of you
Get away, any way
I'm still a secret in the heart of you
And I'm the burning in your soul

Now I'm weak, I am losing
I never thought I'd stop trying
I'm a lie, I'm just a sigh, just a crying
Just a symbol of the game

Suspended pain, I can not face the black flame
Intended fear, I can not trace the black flame
Extended reaching into space-the black flame
Burns my blackened brain

That was pleasantly depressing, MF. I never knew you had it in you.

:p

Normally, depressing music doesn't have good poetry or images. That had both, so I thought I should share it.

Now back to your regulary scheduled happy music.
