When Aragon was in the healing house in Gondor and Merry can’t find his pipe weed (even though his pack is by his bed) and Aragon tells him to ask the healers for Westernweed (sp?) or Galenas the noble name. It is very cryptic.

hmm... i was thinking....
maybe a rank "of the forge of order"? although, the only numbers i can come up with is from 401 to 403, which is the approximate dates for Fall of Angels and The Chaos Balance (L.E. Modesitt, Jr.) which have Nylan in them. since he was said to be "of the forge of order."
trying to think of something with chaos, but dont have any ideas right now....

We should have something for 42. Lets see some of my suggestions would be:
the all encompassing

heathen! heathen pagan infidel i say! in saudi arabia we chop off peoples heads for saying things like that.

and you'll be thankful for that wet noodle, yes you will.
42 is only the most important literary answer ever conceived ... by douglas adams.

IMO Scribe Adept/Scholar Adept just sounds...well...a bit cheesy
Master Scholar flows so much more smoothly, whereas Scholar Adept grates on my nerves...
Not that I have any useful suggestions...it's just been bothering me so I felt like letting go...

This maybe a little too cryptic - 42 squared is 1764.mrdude wrote:We should have something for 42. Lets see some of my suggestions would be:

Other than what mrdude already suggested I thought Universal Reader or Universal Scholar.
Kilt, could you post an updated list of rankings.

Does anybody object if we change this to "Minister of Truth" - this would seem more... consistant. All the others seem to be 1st person titles while this isBrad_H wrote: Ministry of Truth 1984

There was no response to this proposal, was that because you did not like it.

Why not just call it "Strider" and be done with it.
And I agree with Brad on "Grower of the Weed"...
I know far too many potheads for that title to be something to strive for...

Strider - Excellent! - what dates can we associate with Strider?Aunflin wrote:Why not just call it "Strider" and be done with it.

And pothead - Yeah - hadn't thought too much of that association - I have always thought of South Farthings finest as Tobacco myself. I suspect that Potheads weed is possibly more accurate though, considering Saruman's comment about smoking to much of the Halflings weed addling the wits of Gandalf... [does my memory serve me correctly?]

Perfect! Now all we need is to hit some point of numerical relevance and Bob's Your Uncle!Brad_H wrote:How about "IBDoF Strider" instead of just "Strider" ?
