It seems like Memory is a favorite of many long time series readers (perhaps because it unites the Miles and Naismith sides of the protagonist's character?). My favorites so far are A Civil Campaign (entertaining, extremely funny, and deeply moving) and "The Mountains of Mourning".

Mirror dance (mark/killer) and The Borders of Infinity (miles/hat)...

I'm an Aral Vorkosigan fan so Cordelia's Honor is my favourite. He does have great scenes in later books, though.

I really can't choose one favorite Vorkosigan book. Since I read Memory, Kommar and A Civil Campaign as one story in three volumes, those three together are probably my favorite. My favorite of her fantasies is Paladin of Souls, no question.

At the moment (and for some time, though) my favorite's absolutely Mirror Dance. I kinda like Mark even better than Miles...

I'm new here, but I'm an old hand for my interest in LMB's books.
In fact, if any of you reads LMB in French translation (urgh...) he possibly read some words of mine: I corrected a few of J'Ai Lu translations (Cetaganda -for instance, both limericks are wholly mine, the original translations were so ridiculous, I redid them from scratch; Memory; Komarr; and only "Mountains of Mourning" in the "Borders of Infinity" collection). But they choose so terrible translators, leave so little time to the correctors (to say nothing of the price they pay both translators and correctors), that I gave up, it was impossible to get something satisfying working in those conditions. And when the text editor un-corrected back some of my corrections (despite explicit warning not to, to leave an unusual construction that was there on purpose, to mimick the original) I gave up for good.

Anyway I love absolutely everything that LMB writes, there is nothing I would not take with me to an uninhabited island, but my absolute favorite is "Mountains of Mourning" and when J'Ai Lu gave me to correct all of "Borders of Infinity" about one third of the time I needed, I told them I would correct only the first novelette, and I hope that one, at least, came out not too bad in French.
To be precise, when Miles, having found the solution to the mystery, but having told noone yet, monologues while waiting for everyone to arrive before revealing the whole truth, this is for me one of the most touching pages LMB wrote. I can't read that without having a knot in my throat.
I have one right now just thinking about it.

I alway tear-up when I read those passages in Mountians of Mourning.

A Civil Campaign, followed by Mirror Dance, then Barrayar & Shards of Honour (latter two as a pair).

ACC - for the hilariously funny dinner scene (I read it online in the office and laughed so hard I nearly fell off my chair, giving the game away that I was goofing off), and Miles' emotionally naked letter.

Mirror Dance - because Mark became real, a human being in my eyes, and because he bested Miles.....actually, Ekaterin bested Miles in ACC too. I like Miles, but he does need the occasional pummelling down to size.

Barrayar & Shards - for Cordelia and Aral, and their love story, and her insights.

But in each of LMB's books, there's always something good - a realness to the characters, her fantastic quotes and clarity of language. Long may she keep on writing!

'A Civil Campaign' was my introduction to Miles, previously enjoyed Cazaril so much I had to try 'earlier' works.

The dinner scene, Miles' ineptness at romance, and for the butter-bug colors. The stoic guardsman cracked me up.

I love 'em all - but to me, Barrayar is a masterpiece. When someone farsighted gets around to filming these, this is where they should start.
