Correct on all counts.
Not only that, but we agree on what the "view" was, but this pseudo-bonus does not bring an extra 1/2 point.
Anyway, you have the "baton", as Karen says.

There was no specified bonus, so it is all a single question.
New quote
"If AAA must die then so must BBB! (…) …”
AAA and BBB are possessive pronouns.
The (…) mean that I did not give the entire content of this utterance.
Small hint: The line actually does end with three points, as indicated, the person who said it problably wanted to say more, but did not find the words…
Other hint: this line was not said to anyone in particular, but still said after someone else said something, so :
Who uttered this line ?
Whose utterance led to this one ?
What story ?
Bonus for 1/2 point
Give at least two more people who were present, besides the two persons above.
Human is as human does....Animals don't weep, Nine

BBB2 is the personal pronoun BBB1 is the possessive of.

There is one word in the above line that the person who speaks has used already twice before in this very emotional scene.Which one ?
Now the line is complete, the two sets of three points are actually in the text."If mine must die then so must hers! Why should she get off so soft? Spoiled her . . . I tried my best, I did my best, it's not fair. . . ."

Doesn't ring a bell.
Though it makes me think of a child petulantly complaining about a perceived slight.
Maybe in one of the two latest stories I haven't read yet?

OK more hints:
Contrary to EPS's supposition, a very old story which he has certainly read. In fact it is still my favorite story, and has kept this rank for a long, long time.
The possessives "mine" and "hers" are children. So the speaker is certainly not a child. The "slight" is not just "percieved"... I mean, children died !

Re: LMB Quote Game
Main quote OK
Bonus 1 OK
Bonus 2 not OK : the word has to be in the full line
"If mine must die then so must hers! Why should she get off so soft? Spoiled her . . . I tried my best, I did my best, it's not fair. . . ."
and used twice before in the discussion
So the next quote and 1 and 1/2 point
Pending bonuses can be answered by any player at any time and do not interfere with the normal progress of the game.

I'll leave the bonus off rather than look at the text to find the answer! If anyone wants it, feel free to grab.
So:
Who to?
What tale?
Bonuses:
1) What is this a reference to in the second statement?
2) Same for third statement?
Karen Hunt
So:
Who says this? How fortunate that science hasn't cracked human immortality. It's a great blessing that we can outlive old wars. And old warriors.

New quote
Italics, so it is a thought. SoBy God. I could be the first AAA BBB on-site.
Who thinks that ?

Bonus (two answers needed for 1/2 point):
Why is this thought literally, technically, correct ?
Why is it incorrect in a less literal interpretation ?

Who is CCC ? Any non-ambiguous designation is OK, no need to use exactly the word used in the text.
This is indeed a small hint, that CCC can be designated by a single word, but also by different other ways.
The italics represent a thought of the POV character. The non-italics is from that point of view, so it is not so different from a thought, really. Third person rather than first person.By God. I could be the first AAA BBB on-site. He'd have to be sure and point that out, in his report to CCC.
