Unfortunately, I got a detention.

( I was in computer class (actually it just ended) and the teacher gave me a detention for it ( which is total bullsh*t, because I paid at the beginning of the year to access the internet ( my teacher is an idiot)))

Fortunately, I have a voodoo doll and a toenail clipping from your teacher, and he/she will pay.....

That is bullsh*t. That's control freakism.

What do you have to do for detention? Stay after school?

Unfortunately, it isn't a detention after all, it's a Saturday.

(Yeah, I pay $10 a semester to use the Internet, and he says I'm not allowed to go on   )

Fortunately....well, I can't see a fortunate side to this.....

As in a Saturday detention? I used to monitor those from 8 till noon. It sucked. I used to bring the kids orange juice and donuts.

I think I'd speak to this teacher about this and gently :smash: remind him that you paid for the privilege.

ARG.

Perhaps he could be keelhauled. Or kiss the bosun's daughter....

Unfortunately, it's worse now.

It's from 6 'till to 2, and we have to write a two-page essay on how we got in there, and pick up trash.

Fortunately, I can write the essay for you. Though if you turned it in, you might have saturday detention for hte rest of your life.

No, I think you need to talk to the teacher about this. That is WAY excessive for going on the internet (which you have paid for). Or else talk to the dean of students or principal.

A punishment like that should be reserved for kids who tell the teacher to F*** off or break windows or spit in the lunch lady's hair.

Unfortunately, I still have to serve it.

They handed ou 76 saturdays on the first day of school for dress-code. The stupid part was that about 64 of the dress codes would have been fine in Jr. HS

Fortunately, I have no dress code--as long as I don't come to work naked, I'm good.

What kind of anal retentive high school do you go t o?

Unfortunately, I can't wear a few shirts that would get my teachers mad ( or make them laugh).

The new principal is from Alaska, so there's a lot of reasons my friends and I have though of, that wouldn't be appropriate to post in here.

Fortunately, he is probably going to go back there to visit, and it is possible a polar bear will eat him.

Then he will be gone and you can wear your shirts all you want.

I don't mind really (about the shirts).

Unfortunately, I think it's worse than that.

Like I said before, we've thought of a few reasons of why he's like that, but I don't know if I should post them here (they're a little harsh, but for good reason)

Fortunately, he doesn't frequent this forum. So as long as it's not death threats or something hideously vulgar, you can pretty much say what you want.

My ex-boss, B.J. is a FREAK and a LOSER. (See, I say what I want about him.) He is also MEAN and ARROGANT and SELF-ABSORBED and has DELUSIONS OF ADEQUACY.

Ahh. That felt good.

Unfortunately, it might not be "hideously" vulgar, but it's still pretty bad ( I can be very mean if I want to be (but I'm usually not (I used to be though ( I had some reall issues back then))).

Fortunately we all get over our issues eventually. Or else someone kills us. Ha ha.

I used to have a HORRIBLE temper. No kidding. I would totally tweak on people.

Now, I almost never get mad, and if I do, I never lose control.

Unfortunately, I still get mad a lot, but I don't go berserk, I either punch an inatimate object (instead of the person making me mad) or convert it into energy.

Fortunately, this is better than punching a person. But only punch soft inanimate objects like pillows and cushions. Not walls. That's painful and not good for the bones in your hands.

Unfortuantely, I usually punch lockers or the like, they make a big BANG and aren't completely solid, so they'll dent instead of breaking my hand (but I've only dented one once).

Fortunately, I never punch anything. Though I have slammed my open hand down on my desk top a couple of times. It makes a very satisfying smacking noise and gets everyone's attention.

Heh heh.

Once when I taught in the public schools, I kicked the bottom of a kid's desk. He had loosened the bolts that held it to the frame. I kicked it good and hard because I had asked him several times to be quiet and face the front, and he was totally upside down with the top of his head resting on the desk of the person behind him.

I wanted to scare the fecal matter out of him with a loud bang.

Instead, when I kicked the underside of the desktop, it flew off the frame and sailed through the air over the heads of all the kids in the row.

That was one of my low-lights of my teaching career.

(It was pretty funny though)

Fortunately, neither was the principal. Else, we would have had a little chat in his office, which would have been very bad indeed.
