I think I saw this recently. The dirty dozen?
'You can take our lives but you'll never take our freedom!' he screamed.

Actually, the movie I was thinking of was Brazil, but since the game has already continued, it's all good...

No, I mean, the "Ereiam!" quote is from Brazil, not Johnny Mnemonic or Ghost in the Shell. Actually, it could be from Johnny Mnemonic, I haven't seen it, but if it is it's definitely a reference to Brazil because the "Ereiam" part has a very significant purpose in the plot, whereas the 'ghost in the machine' part is a little less pointed. I was more worried the quote would be attributed to I, Robot, which has a particularly poignant scene involving the "ghost in the machine" concept (and by poignant, I mean it's one of the few scenes that really catches attention in that movie, besides all of the advertisements), and if someone had said I, Robot, I would have given it to them.

In other words, what I'm saying is that you guys REALLY need to see Brazil. And I'm being quite serious, here, as Brazil is just that type of movie that attracts crowds like literature buffs, science fiction geeks, anybody who likes Monty Python movies (same director), and quote-trivia fans.

Edit: in fact, I'm going to go rewatch Brazil right now... Got that particular itch to scratch.

Oh, I have seen it. I even own the Criterion DVD, it's just been a while. :spin:

I can't afford the Criterion and it never comes in used. However, I have an older version that works just fine.

Sounds good...

"A man walks into a bar with a giraffe. They get drunk, the man gets up to leave. The bartender says, 'Hey, you can't leave that lyin' there!' The man says, 'That's not a lion... that's a giraffe!'...
[beat]
No humor at all..."

You're right about it being British, but I've never seen The Descent, so it's not that. (Kinda don't want to, though that same director's movie Dog Soldiers was really good and his latest, Doomsday, looks quite fun as well).

Well, finally... Why don't you want to watch The Descent? I thought it was actualy pretty good, although clearly not as good as Dog Soldiers.
