Author Biography: Jean Anne Caldwell publishes historical romances using the names Anne Caldwell and Jean Anne Caldwell.

Her first book, Scandal's Darling (originally titled The Abductress) not only won a finalist position in the national Romance Writers of America (RWA®) Golden Heart Contest, but also won a nomination from Romantic Times Magazine for Best Regency Historical Romance. Two of Jean Anne's books were special requests from Berkley. Pirates And Promises was the launch title for Jove's Tea Rose romance line and won an award from Bookrak Catalog for being one of their best selling Historical Romances.

Because Jean Anne's books always include a mystery as part of the plot, she attends Criminal Justice classes to ensure the accuracy of her mysteries and their solutions. She received a Homicide Investigation certificate from the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville in conjunction with the Colorado Springs Police Department. She attends Crime Scene Investigation classes sandwiched between traveling and writing her books.

It seems that 1998 was a busy year for JeanAnne. She received certificates from the Laboratory for Scientific Interrogation for Scientific Content Analysis, The El Paso County Sheriff's Department and The Colorado Police Protection Agency for Street Survival 98: The Tactical Edge and The Win Seminar, and The Colorado Juvenile Council for The Basics and Beyond Gang Conference.

As a founding member of RWA® chapter 92, Pikes Peak Romance Writers, Jean Anne has served as treasurer, newsletter and contest co-chair, critique chair, vice president, and 2005 Aspiring Author Liaison. Jean Anne was one of the instructors for a Park and Recreation class on How to Write Romances.

Each November, JeanAnne participates in the National Novel Writing Month. This is an annual novel writing project that brings together professional and amateur writers from all over the world.
