Author Biography: "Patrick's newest book (co-authored by Tomohiro Machiyama) is Cruising the Anime City: An Otaku Guide to Neo-Tokyo, published in November 2004 by Stone Bridge Press.

He was born in Sacramento, CA in 1972. Currently, he lives in Tokyo, Japan.

He has been working professionally as a writer since the age of eighteen and has been published in the SF Chronicle, the Asahi Shimbun and the Chicago Sun-Times.

Patrick writes monthly columns for the Japanese magazines Eiga Hi-Ho (Movie Treasures) and Figure Oh (Figure King) and regularly writes liner notes for US DVD titles.

In 2001, Patrick authored TokyoScope: The Japanese Cult Film Companion, which was published by Cadence Books. In addition to the recent publication of Anime City, he is currently working on another book exclusively for the Japanese market to be published by Ohta Shuppan in Fall 2006.
